you can chase butterflies all day
or simply be still
& one will come your way.
much like life, eh?
...or love or success, inspiration
or motivation. it's easy to get
caught up in thinking-running-doing
rather than BEING.
this winged beauty presented herself
after i had chased the "perfect
picture" all day long. only when i sat
to rest, enjoy the light, and be still
was i able to truly appreciate my
magnificent surroundings and then...
as if answering my call, she too rested.
just long enough for me to aim and shoot.
